Members crochet or knit prayer shawls for others in need. The shawls are the perfect size to hug around your shoulders to remember that God is with you and your church family is praying for you.
Help us spread some joy through crafting note cards or sending hand-written notes to our members and friends of Aldersgate.
Join members of Aldersgate in leading worship at Forwood Manor senior living community on Sunday afternoons.
Help deliver food, layette items, groceries, or encouragement to families with new children.
Deliver flowers, bread, books, and other goodies to members of Aldersgate.
Be on-call to deliver a prepared meal or grocery delivery to a member in need.
Members pair up and visit members and friends of Aldersgate who are in the hospital, homebound, or going through a rough season. Share a friendly chat, communion, prayer, or devotion together.
Become a shepherd to someone in our “flock”: a new member, prospective member, or homebound member. Shepherds provide support as guided by the Director of Congregational Care.
Be on-call to help a small team with light home repair, moving furniture, or small jobs.
When we take our vows of church membership, we promise to faithfully participate in the ministries of the church through our prayers. We invite you review our weekly prayer list and pray for one another during your personal prayer time.
Submit your email to the prayer chain to receive prayer requests in real time. When you receive a prayer notification, stop and lift that concern up to God.
