ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL
ALPHA TO OMEGA (237) Led by Jack Smith
Immersion in the Word - This fall, the class will begin an in-depth study of the letters that Paul wrote to the church at Corinth. It is the most extensive correspondence between Paul and one of his churches that is contained in the New Testament. We will look at the challenges faced by that church community, and seek to understand how Paul's words addressing their struggles and various faith questions can be applied to the challenges facing the church in our time.
GENERATION GO (Room 236) Led by Cheryl & Brian Merritt
As the name implies, Generation Go caters largely to parents “on the go,” however all are welcome to attend class. Brian and I typically choose 4–6 week long DVD based studies with a 10–20 minute video message which is followed by class discussion of the topic presented. Studies do not require any advanced prep, so drop in, visitors are always welcome!
THE EXPLORERS (Library) Led by Rob McFarland and Bert Diemer
Join Pastor Rob and Bert Diemer as we explore the classics of Christian literature, and help each other grow in our walk with Christ by learning about the giants of our faith! We will work together through writers and books that will challenge us, help us grow, and give us historical perspective on our Christian walk. Come explore with us!
LOVE DOES (Room 122) Led by Ryan & Nitasha Smith
We are a group of young adults that meet weekly for faith studies and fellowship. Our focus is to strengthen our faith foundation and relationships as we navigate life with growing families. Members of this group take turns facilitating lessons, planning social events, and providing outreach opportunities. This group organizes one of Aldersgate’s largest outreach ministries, Christmas Joy! Christmas Joy is an Aldersgate ministry where church members donate holiday gifts and needed items to those in need in the Wilmington area through various organizations.
