“We GATHER as God’s People”, and there are many ways to support our Aldersgate Community whenever we gather together.

This important role allows a friendly face to welcome members and visitors into the church as they come to Worship. Greeters arrive 20 minutes before the worship service, will be given a name tag, and present a welcoming and friendly face to all who enter. It is as easy as extending a hand, smiling and offering words of welcome. You can sign up for either the 9:00 a.m. contemporary service or the 11:00 a.m. traditional service, as well as special services throughout the year.
The liturgist participates in either the 9:00 a.m. or the 11:00 a.m. worship service, normally by sharing several elements:

The ushers ensure that the candles in the sanctuary are lit before the service and collect the offering during each service.
You can sign up with the head usher for the dates you would like to participate, and then arrive 15 minutes before either the 9:00 or the 11:00 worship service. The Ushers walk down the aisle and pass the offering plate to the congregants. For 9:00, return the plates to the head usher. For 11:00, take the offering plates back up the aisle and place them on the altar, then return to your seat.

Communion is usually served the first Sunday of each month and during certain special services. Communion servers will assist the Pastor in serving the elements to the congregants during worship. Contact the church office to sign up.
